In this self-paced online course, students will learn the function of scientific notation. They will learn how to express numbers in scientific notation as well as how to convert a number in scientific notation back into standard form.
Students are taught how to enter numbers written in scientific notation into a scientific calculator and how to use their scientific calculators to perform mathematical operations containing numbers in standard notation.
These are valuable skills that will be put into practice during high school, especially in courses like chemistry and physics.
